A photo like this just takes some incredible lighting technique, great patience, and most likely, a lot of work on the computer.  But, what a fabulous photo in the end.  The detail, the story to it all, and the lighting just strikes you when you look at this photo.  Simply titled:  "A safe shelter from the rain".  This photo will be talked about for a long time.

Jason submitted this photo to the Group:  "Long Exposure Creativity".  And I love how he has captured the waterfall in this photo, to give it a more dream-like atmosphere.  It makes you feel like this is a place that a Hobbit would come to find.  A gorgeous location, great lighting, great composition, and just a beautiful photo all around.  Congratulations Jason on a great photo.

This photographer must have the timing just right, goes out and finds this type of beautiful photo in her own backyard all the time.  The scenery, the fog, and her use of composition is just amazing.  Congratulations, Pamela on a masterful shot.  Her comments on this photo are priceless as well:
It was one of those dawns that I stood there with camera in hand and gaped more than I shot. In spite of that, I did manage to knock off a few!

PORTRAIT OF THE WEEK:
Photo taken by:  Jessica Napolitano
This "Portrait of the Week" seems very timely.  Winter, and in fact, she has titled this portrait as:  "Frozen II".  All the details of a person who loves the cold.  You can see the snow falling, plus, she is dressed to be ready for winter, and a very beautiful woman, makes this portrait come out amazing.  And who ever does her make-up should get points for that too.  But, definitely a wonderful portrait and deserves to be the Portrait of the Week.

Wow, where do you find a dream place like this?  Well, there is such a place, and it is called: "Autumn morning at Bled lake".  So, this is in the Julian Alps in Slovenia.  Isn't this just gorgeous.  This castle sits on an island in the middle of the lake, but the timing on this photo is incredible.  Look at the clouds, the lighting, the autumn colors.... everything about this makes this one of the most beautiful photos ever taken of this lake.   Congratulations to this photographer.

Winter can be some of the most beautiful times to take photos.  Sometimes just going out and capturing the light just right, and the fresh fallen snow and how it clings to the plants and then how the fog leaves a mood to the picture, is just amazing.  Lena captured something that may have seemed boring at first, but, then as it came out on the camera, voila' you have a masterpiece.  In her own words:  "I thought it should be a dark, grey and glomy morning today, but it turned out to be a really nice but very cold morning. I love when that happens."
Congratulations Lena for capturing winter in it's pure beauty.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THIS WEEK'S WINNERS.  I LOVE THE VARIETY OF PHOTOS DISCOVERED THIS WEEK.  ABSOLUTELY GREAT TALENT FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD.  THANKS AGAIN, AND THE ONE THING I HOPE THAT ALL THE PHOTOGRAPHERS THAT VIEW THESE PHOTOS WILL DO, IS LEARN FROM THEM, AND BE INSPIRED TO TAKE PHOTOS LIKE THIS AS WELL.

All photos this week were found on Facebook, which photos are all publicly shared.
